This role will play a critical part in optimizing data pipelines, improving data accessibility and performance, and enabling the client’s analytical and operational missions.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000-$110,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications.

What You’ll Do
- Develop, optimize, and maintain Python-based data pipelines and tools to extend functionality across open-source and inherited data sets.
- Design, manage, and tune database structures to ensure performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with analysts and engineers to implement tools and workflows that improve data accessibility, reliability, and efficiency.
- Identify and troubleshoot complex data issues, ensuring efficient integration and transformation processes.
- Support the automation of data ingestion, transformation, cleaning, and validation processes.
- Document data workflows and system configurations to support transparency, reproducibility, and long-term sustainability.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership and mission partners.
Who You Are
- Active DHS Top Secret Clearance required.
- Ability to be physically present for sensitive meetings in the National Capital Region (NCR).
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer (or similar role) with a strong focus on Python development for data engineering or analytics.
- Hands-on experience with database design, management, and optimization (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional technical teams.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with cyber incident response, security operations, or cybersecurity data sets.
- Prior experience working in the Federal, DoD, or national security data enviroments.
