Successful candidates should have senior knowledge and hands-on experience developing cloud architectures and toolsets for a large enterprise with a strong "security first" mindset. In this role you will be responsible for planning and leading major technology assignments.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $170,000.00-$200,000.00. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications.

What You’ll Do
- Provide technical leadership in the design, deployment, and management of cloud-native architectures across AWS and other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP as applicable).
- Architect and implement secure, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud solutions that enhance developer productivity and align with mission-critical DoD requirements.
- Lead cloud modernization efforts leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab CI/CD to support DevSecOps ecosystem.
- Apply a "security-first" mindset by integrating zero-trust architectures, DISA STIGs, RMF controls, and other DoD compliance frameworks into all solutions.
- Support continuous delivery and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to maintain resilient, high-performing systems.
- Collaborate with product teams, engineers, and mission partners to resolve technical challenges, optimize resources, and maintain thorough documentation of cloud solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to government stakeholders, communicating complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing standards, best practices, and knowledge-sharing across DevSecOps teams.
Who You Are
- A US Citizen and ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
- Minimum of 8 years of industry experience
- A trusted technical leader with deep expertise in cloud-native architectures
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, containerized workloads (Docker), and Helm charts
- Familiar with microservice architectures (REST, JMS, AMQP)
- Highly experienced with AWS cloud services, with advanced knowledge of networking (VPC, peering, subnets, security groups, policy management)
- Knowledge of Zero Trust networking
- Skilled with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab CI)
- Experience with IaC automation tooling such as Terraform (including writing custom modules and collaboration), Ansible, and Packer
- Proficient in Linux administration with hands-on experience managing secure and scalable enterprise environments
- Experienced with DevOps and SRE practices, with the ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and scale systems
- Familiar with one or more programming languages (Python, Java, Go, C++), with the ability to develop scripts or tools as needed
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief leadership and collaborate across diverse technical teams
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (RMF, DISA STIG, etc) applicable to DoD cloud operations is a plus
- Knowledge of Azure, GCP, or other hyperscalers is a plus
- Software engineering background is a plus
- Experience with Istio is a plus
- Experience with Grafana and ElasticSearch is a plus
